			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We had an absolutely inspiring TEA Party event at the Boiling Springs Community Park with Dr Alan Keyes and Mr. Louis Ingram. I did not feel worthy to be on the same stage with these two men that have dedicated their lives to preserving and restoring The Constitution of the United States the way our Founding Father intended, but what an honor.<br/><br/>Almost everyone that I talked to before the event asked me how we were able to get Dr. Keyes to come to Boiling Springs as our key note speaker, truth is there are a couple of reasons. One is that Dr. Christina Jeffery is a friend of Alan&#8217;s and asked him to come and while this provided us with an avenue of approach, it was not the only reason. Alan wanted to speak at a tea party that would not restrain his message of &#8220;Natures God&#8221; and the importance our founding fathers gave God in this country when they wrote The Declaration of Independence. Words like, &#8220;We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness&#8221;. People who want to deny the fact that our founding fathers intended God to be at the center of our country are either trying to dilute The Constitution or have never read it. I really don&#8217;t know why Alan chose to come to Boiling Springs.<br/><br/>Maybe because after reading several editions of this publication he knew the patriotic type people he would be speaking to. People who are not afraid to speak the name of God and people who want to read about God. Maybe it was because the patriotic leadership at Boiling Springs First Baptist Church was eager to have him speak at all 3 services when other large churches shied away, most likely in fear that it would violate the so called separation of church and state. If you want to hear a God filled message about what we Christians should be doing for our country and did not get to hear Alan speak, call the church at 578-2828 and ask for an audio copy. Maybe it was where God told Alan he needed to come and speak. Maybe it was all the above, which is what I think. I know one thing for certain; it was not because of the money. Alan could have scheduled at several other events that would have paid him a lot more than we were able to pay him. This speaks volumes about this man to me, as it should you. Alan Keyes is the real deal and if you were able to be with us at this event, you know that he is as well.<br/><br/>I am very surprised at our local media coverage or should I say lack of media coverage. One newspaper reported that there were several hundred in attendances while another reported 900 to 1000 attended. I don&#8217;t know how they determined these moderate numbers except by guessing. I am glad that we had the foresight in having people register at this event to get a more accurate number which was 2019, a far cry from what was reported. Praise the Lord!!!<br/><br/>Tell me how our television stations found it more news worthy to cover Michael Jackson&#8217;s death, for days on end, than it was to cover events all across this country with citizens protesting the socialistic take over of this country. You see this is an attempt at silencing the peoples&#8217; voice. Richard Salant, former president of CBS News was quoted to say, &#8221; Our job is to give the people not what they want, but what we decide they ought to have&#8221;. It is difficult to understand the mindset of people who believe they have the authority to control the minds of others in this manner. I promise you, our readers that this magazine will continue to print the issues that threaten to take our country down the road to socialism, which is against the very notion of our founding fathers. As I said during my speech, &#8221; I will not go quietly into the dark night of socialism, I will be heard and I will do what ever I can to protect our constitution&#8221;.<br/><br/>I want to thank all of you that came to our Freedom Day Tea Party. I know it was a blessing to you as it was to us. Thanks to all the people who volunteered as staff members, security members and to everyone who helped us set up and break down. I want to especial thank Mr. Cleon Graves and the Boiling Springs Community Park board members for allowing us the use of the park. We also thank, Ryan Bishop for video recording, By Joyce Photography and Images Unlimited Photography, for all the wonderful video and photo graphics. I also want to thank all the people who participated in the event, D.W. Solesbee and the American Sprit Band, Pastor Brian Alverson, Marjorie Jeffery, Ladonna Riggs, Christina Jeffery, Jeff Mitchell, Louis Ingram and of course Dr. Alan Keyes.<br/><br/>This was a great way to share and spread the message of Louis Ingram and Dr. Keyes in an effort to get our country back to the principles our founding fathers intended for us. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Can you think of anything more feminine, more lovely, more &#8220;girly&#8221; than a group of young girls&#8230; all dressed in their princess finery sitting down to a decked out tea table with royal dainties? Girls across the globe love dress up and love tea&#8230;so why not combine the two and make the perfect event for your girls &#8211; a Princess Tea Party!<br/><br/>Here are 7 easy steps toward making the perfect memory for your little princess:<br/><br/>1. Set a date: Keep in mind the ages of your little ones and set the time when they won&#8217;t be too tired, too hungry or too cranky! The &#8220;official&#8221; teatime is late afternoon, but that doesn&#8217;t mean you can&#8217;t have a wonderful teatime in the morning as well.<br/><br/>2. Invite: The fun begins. Being a princess requires invitations of the most royal kind. Lovely linen paper is easy to find at your local craft or office supply store. Run it through your home printer with a fancy font and you&#8217;re done. Send the invitations out about 2-3 weeks before your tea so your guests can plan accordingly.<br/><br/>3. Decorate: Let your princess help with this part &#8230; after all, it is HER event. Royal colors include purple, gold, pink and silver and aren&#8217;t those the favorites of girls anyway? Balloons, streamers and more balloons! We&#8217;ll talk about the tea table in a minute.<br/><br/>4. Make the food: Traditional tea fare includes scones and clotted cream. Other royal tea treats are chocolate covered strawberries, thumbprint cookies, cucumber sandwiches (or substitute the ever popular PB&#38;J sandwich for younger ones) and miniature teacakes. Plan some games: Great princess games abound but keep it simple. Hide some gold-foiled covered coins around the house and have a hunt to return the royal treasure. Use a lovely glass bowl as the treasure chest. Spread your gold and silver balloons all over the &#8220;ballroom&#8221; floor and play classical music for a royal ball with much dancing.<br/><br/>7. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Our July 4th Freedom Day Tea Party was finally at hand. My wife and I along with our staff and volunteers had spent untold hours preparing for this event. Our goal for this tea party was to generate motivation for a &#8220;Common Sense&#8221; approach to some of the issues facing our country today. We were blessed to have Mr. Louis Ingram with us. Louis is a retired constitutional lawyer and is passionate about protecting and restoring the constitution as our founding fathers&#8217; intended for it be. I was there in costume again as Thomas Paine to M.C. the event and to hopefully scratch the surface with some current day &#8220;Common Sense&#8221; ideas, aimed at un-silencing the &#8220;Silent Majority. I want to share a little background and history from my research on Thomas Paine, who wrote a pamphlet in 1776 called &#8220;Common Sense&#8221; as a prelude to our event on the 4th.<br/><br/>In January 1776, it seemed unlikely that the 13 American colonies would declare independence from England. Even as George Washington was leading the Colonial Army against the British in Boston, most of the delegates attending the Continental Congress in Philadelphia wanted to patch up things with King George. John Adams who led the advocates for freedom asked for a non-binding survey of the delegates to see where they stood. The results were disheartening. Less that a third voted for independence. Even Virginia voted no. Then, late in the month of January, a seemingly small event changed the course of history. Thomas Paine published an 80 page pamphlet called &#8220;Common Sense&#8221; which presented common sense arguments to refute the predominant theory of sovereignty for the Western world. Instead of a divine birthright that gave King&#8217;s and Queen&#8217;s power over others, Paine made the case for individual sovereignty, declaring that all powers of government were derived from the individuals who created the government.<br/><br/>His arguments were so clearly stated that anyone could understand that individual sovereignty was the natural order, based on self-evident, eternal truths. Each individual human being, DEVINELY CREATED and given free will by their CREATOR, had the right to function in society in a manner which allowed them to exercise that DIVINE gift of free will. Paine went on to explain the inevitability of the colonies&#8217; separation from England. He then suggested how the war could be won and proposed structures for the new colonial government. To say that his small pamphlet struck a chord with colonials would be the understatement of the millennium! An estimated 500,000 copies were printed and read by the vast majority of the 3 million people residing in the 13 colonies. In late March, General Washington wrote in a personal letter that &#8220;by private letters which I have lately received from Virginia, I find COMMON SENSE is working a powerful change in the minds of many men.&#8221;<br/><br/>By July, the groundswell had reached the boiling point. On July 2nd, with New York abstaining, the Continental Congress unanimously voted for independence. On July 4th, 1776 our constitution was signed by 56 very courageous individuals and the rest is history. In 1805 John Adams wrote of Paine, &#8220;I know not whether any man in the world has had more influence on its inhabitants or affairs for the last thirty years than Tom Paine.&#8221;<br/><br/>Pretty cool stuff huh. This is why I choose Thomas Paine&#8217;s character and Common Sense ideas for our Tea Party. We can make a difference in our country by getting off our couches as the &#8220;silent majority&#8221; and becoming the vocal majority. Like the old saying goes: The squeaky wheel gets oiled first. I believe Samuel Adams said it better &#8220;It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people&#8217;s minds.&#8221; Honestly we have, I have, sat back too long watching the vocal few pressure our elected officials, judges and so on in getting their way and have done nothing to stop them, until we have lost some of the very freedoms our founding fathers fought and died for. I am ashamed that I have done nothing until now.<br/><br/>Together we can make a difference.<br/><br/></p>
