With so many models, styles, variations in features, and accessories available in the market today, how do you go about selecting the right home karaoke machine? The good news is that it doesn’t have to be complicated. Find the machine that is right for you and your lifestyle, add in a good price and a secure warranty, and you will be happy with your home karaoke machine.
The technology in home karaoke machines has advanced to the degree that you can now find many great features to help you sound like a star! Not so long ago, you could only find these features in professional systems. Now you can find home karaoke machines that enable you to alter the echo, the pitch, the key, the tempo, and more for any song to better match your own voice.
In addition, you can change these settings for any singer as they get up to sing their song. Everyone wants to sound good! Flatter your family and friends by choosing these features, and they will jump for joy at the chance to come to your karaoke parties. Even if you are buying your home karaoke to practice and improve your own show, these settings will most closely resemble those you will find in the karaoke bars.
Many of the home karaoke machines also have dual microphone inputs, so you can sing duets with another person. If this feature appeals to you, choose one that allows you to alter the pitch and volume for each microphone separately. That way, you can help harmonize the duet.
What about the sound? You’ll be pleased to find that you can select a home karaoke machine that integrates with your own entertainment system you have already set up in your home.
What about the style? Can you get one that fits with your decor? The answer is, “Yes!” You can now find a home karaoke machine that’s no bigger than a DVD player.
An important feature to look at when selecting your home karaoke machine is the type of karaoke CDs it accepts. There are DVDs, CDGs, MP3s, machines with inbuilt songs, and more. Realize that any machine that accepts only one type of disk will require you to build up your library with that type of karaoke CDs, and then if you ever replace your machine you may have to build your library all over again.
You can solve this problem altogether by getting a home karaoke machine that accepts several types of karaoke CDs or has an extensive library of songs already built into it.
The great news is that all these features, and many more, can all be found on one home karaoke machine! The SongStation Karaoke Machine has all those features to make you sound great, fits in with your home decor, accepts any kind of karaoke CD, plus has a library of 53,000 songs. The price is unbeatable for the benefits you get, and you enjoy a 12 month warranty.
Finally, technology has caught up with the entertainment world to simplify your life. You don’t have to go all over the place finding that one system has this feature and another system has that feature. One system has a good price but a different system has a better warranty. You can have it all with the SongStation Karaoke Machine.
Now that’s an easy way to select your home karaoke machine!

Halloween Party Ideas 2009
Halloween falls on a Saturday this year – a perfect opportunity to have a Halloween Party. Whether you are having a child’s party or adult party there are many themes and ideas that will keep your guests talking for years. Here are a few fun and easy suggestions:
Costume Party. This is nothing new, but you can put a twist on it. You can make it a Pirates and Princess party for kids or a male/female pirates party for adults. Famous people party works best for adults, with costumes available for celebrities, sports personalities, politicians, etc. If your crowd isn’t the type to put on elaborate costumes, simply ask everyone to dress in black and orange.
Non-Spooky party. Kids, especially young ones, can be scared by the darker side of Halloween. If you want a non-spooky party for kids, try a different theme like a sports party (where guests have to dress up like dancers, hockey players, football players, sumo wrestlers, etc.) Super heroes is also a fun theme. A girls’ party could be princesses and fairies. Animal costumes is another easy crowd favorite – especially if you decorate the room like a Halloween barn.
Invitations. Home made invitations are always fun and impressive. You can print photos, clip art or pictures from the internet to glue on paper. You can also cut the invitation card into silhouettes – like ghosts, pumpkins, witch hats, etc. The invitation could have something that springs out when the viewer opens it. Stickers and confetti are easy ways to decorate cards. Keep the card stock in Halloween colors like black, orange, purple or green.
Decorations. My favourite party look for Halloween is to replace all of the lights in the party room with black lights. Put black tablecloths on the tables, cover the walls with black paper or black posters. Cotton batting, spread thin to look like cobwebs, can decorate your black table cloth. Get white plastic plates so they will glow in the dark and appear to be floating on the table. For kids, Mountain Dew is a great beverage to put in clear plastic glasses, since it glows in the dark. Strings of orange lights are available at many party and dollar stores. Use these to line doorways and walls, or put them inside pumpkins instead of candles.
Food: Black and orange foods are always appropriate (such as as orange cheese, Cheetos, black licorice, chocolate, pumpkin cupcakes) as is spooky baked goods and candy. Carve out pumpkins and line them with clear plastic bags to use as chip bowls or flower centerpieces. A glowing fruit punch bowl or colored ice cubes make for fun drinks.
Music. Burn a cd ahead of time with fun Halloween and Thriller type songs. Sound effects are fun to mix in. You can often rent or buy dry ice machines or disco balls if you want to make the dance floor really “spooktacular”.

Bachelorette Party Ideas
Bachelorette party ideas can be overwhelming and you need to decide which theme you wish to go with and make the best out of it. The first thing to consider is the preference of the bride to be. You want to make her last night as a single woman pleasurable and worthwhile. A bachelorette party is therefore very vital at least to bid farewell to the girl who is about to have a different status. The first of many bachelorette party ideas is to spend a day or even a night at a spa. Whichever the location, having relaxed time with your girlfriends is invaluable. At the spa, you can have facials, mud baths, pedicures, massages, saunas, manicures and others. You are going to be spoilt and you will enjoy every minute of it.
Makeovers are great bachelorette party ideas because the most important thing for girls is to look and feel beautiful and what a better time than now when a wedding is near. You can have a professional make up artist come to the party and give you the best looks you can possibly have. Another party idea that has a lot of popularity is doing some pottery at a local pottery studio. The girls will have so much while undertaking this practical activity. Make the pottery for the bride to be after inquiring what kind she would prefer in her new home. You therefore do not have to be limited by ideas because you can break the norm and go all out to have fun and make the bachelorette party as superior as possible.
You can also have sporty bachelorette party ideas and the following idea will have the bride to be entertained. It involves spending the day at a baseball field with friends. Your friends will enjoy hot dogs, pop corn, ice cream, cotton candy and a variety of drinks. Another idea that you can never go wrong with is going shopping. You can either do it in your home town or you can go to other places for a greater and bigger experience. While shopping, you can undertake several activities like visiting the local restaurants of the states you choose to visit and experiencing their culture. A favorite destination to visit is Las Vegas where you know you will not be disappointed. From the food to casinos, the party will surely not end.
Other great bachelorette party ideas include having a pajama party. The Bride to be and her girlfriends can have an awesome night in pajamas. This does not mean they go to bed because the party has just began. In the party, there will be activities like watching a great selection of movies, games, showering of party favors not to forget great food and drinks. There will be decorations just like a real party. Girls share a lot until they fall asleep and these experience will bring back past experiences like sleep overs. Ideas will continue to get better for bachelorette parties. They will live to remember the night with nostalgia.
